UW Mary Gates Hall

Greenbusch provided the acoustical analysis for the renovation and addition to an historic building on the University of Washington campus. Mary Gates Hall was converted from a physics hall to the new technology center for undergraduate education. It includes instructional computing facilities and 40 interactive classrooms, academic services and advising, career services, interdisciplinary programs and the dean's office of undergraduate education. Recommendations included finishes and construction details of the lecture halls which serve as broadcast quality distance learning classrooms. Mechanical noise and vibration control was also addressed.
