Greenbusch provided the acoustical design of audio recording studios, control rooms, and multimedia post production rooms for the refurbishment of the Communications Building for Evergreen State College. A primary concern of the studios was providing variable acoustical absorption and diffusion to enable the instructors and recording engineers the ability to adjust the acoustics as desired. Additional concerns included providing appropriate shaping to optimize reflections, and providing adequate acoustical isolation between spaces. Discrete recording capability in one of the studios was provided by an isolation booth. Control rooms were implemented using the LEDE approach, modified to fit an existing facility. Greenbusch also provided the acoustical design for the multimedia post production rooms.
