The Greenbusch Group provided the audio/video design for this new cruise-ship terminal and exhibition/conference Center on Pier 66. This unique facility incorporates a wide-range of audio systems from telephone paging & background music, to high-quality audio and video support during conferences and presentations. The capability to easily switch from an operator supervised, full-blown audio/video presentation, to ticketing agent controlled boarding announcements, presented an interesting challenge. Special ticketing kiosks were designed with integrated microphone paging stations, allowing a ticketing agent to simply plug-in the kiosk, which then automatically over-rides any presentation modes already set-up. Priority paging modes were designed-in, allowing the Port of Seattle staff to either prevent this override function or override the "cruise-ship mode" itself for important safety announcements. The system is also integrated into the Port of Seattle Conference Center located next door. Various other paging zones and systems are provided in the vicinity of the building. These systems provide trained staff members with full access to a complete audio/video system, while at the same time allowing other users paging access with no special training.
