Greenbusch provided the audio/video and acoustical design services for the remodel and upgrade of this lecture hall. Kane 110 features a full 5.1 surround sound system. The design goal was to provide a full theatre experience for film appreciation, without the cost of a commercial theatrical installation. By utilizing a carefully chosen mixture of commercial components and the firm’s experience with the acoustical and electronic requirements of a commercial theatre, we were able to design a system which provides the full dramatic impact of today’s movie soundtracks, while staying within the budget. A touch-screen based control system allows simple control of the various AV systems. A dedicated sound reinforcement system was designed to support the more traditional use of a lecture hall.
