  • Work for this new science building includes HVAC, plumbing, laboratory piping, fire control, and fume exhaust.
  • Our engineers provided each lab with a separate control system, as determined by the lab pressurization vs. fume hood exhaust requirements.










Highline Community College Marine Science and Technology

  • The new Marine Science and Technology building contains classrooms, laboratories, and office space, with a separate 1,090 SF Aquarium addition, located on an existing dock.
  • The Classroom building utilizes a gas fired air handling unit to provide heating and ventilation through exposed ducting to the spaces.
  • The plumbing system consists of cast iron waste and vent piping, and copper cold, hot and hot water recirculation piping.
  • A domestic hot water recirculation system provides a quick response when domestic hot water is used. The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification.
